WORMTRAIL NUMBERS: This worm has a plan. Hopefully.
Development of WORMTRAIL NUMBERS began on 7 October 2026. The basic idea sounds like a leisurely stroll: guide a worm through a grid and visit every cell. Just once. In the right order. Without trapping yourself. Minor details, really.
The game pairs a number-path puzzle with a curious green companion. Given numbers tell you when you need to reach particular cells. You plan the route between them – and occasionally discover that the tempting shortcut has left three lonely cells stranded.
First the logic, then the little plop
Development initially focused on the unbroken path. Puzzles are checked for rule compliance and a unique solution. Then came the worm’s feel: smooth dragging, clear number markers and a layout that works on small screens, too.
A visual guide, an undo function and a slow solution demonstration followed. Now a soft little “plop” accompanies your movements, and a solved puzzle gets its moment in the spotlight. Even a worm deserves a little celebration.
How to find your way
- Start at 1 and finish at the highest number.
- Visit every cell exactly once.
- Move only horizontally or vertically.
- Reach each given number at exactly the right step: 12 must be the twelfth cell on your path.
Easy, medium or hard: you choose how twisty your outing gets. And if you need to go back? Even a clever worm adjusts its route sometimes.
